2019 - sports & community center

A sports center and physical health clinic designed to serve people in transit. The building is a node among many of a variety of scales.

An extension of the corridor, the building provides a place for recreation; physical enrichment; gathering; healthy living and healing.

The building is characterized by two wings that form the street edges, opening up the courtyard to the public. The ground floor is a space for gathering, movement and interaction into the building. The first floor picks you up off the corridor and into a public recreation space, essentially a continuation of the corridor that happens within the building.

Each wing circulations people from the street edge into the building. Cores of movement service the public with ablutions, information, security and access into the services of the building.
